Triazole systemic DMI-fungicide (DeMethylation Inhibitor). Mode of action is through inhibition of C14-demethylase, which is important for sterol biosesynthesis (erg11/cpy51). Sterols are needed for membrane structure and function, making them essential for the development of functional cell walls. Therefore, these fungicides result in abnormal fungal growth and eventually death. Compound can be used as analytical reference material.
