Narcissus Pseudonarcissus (Daffodil) Lectin (NPL, NPA), Unconjugated, 5 mg
产品描述:
Narcissus pseudonarcissus lectin NPL, isolated from daffodil bulbs, has a specificity toward α-linked mannose, preferring polymannose structures containing (α-1,6) linkages. Binding to mannose polymers can occur via internal mannose residues and is not dependent on structural integrity of a non-reducing end sugar. NPL also binds some galactomannans, and differs in other binding characteristics from a related lectin, Galanthus nivalis lectin. Unlike Con A, LCA, or PSA, NPL does not bind glucose.

Although many buffers can be employed for reconstituting and diluting this lectin, 10 mM HEPES buffered saline, pH 8.5, 0.1 mM CaCl2 is recommended.For preserving solutions stored at 4°C, 0.08% sodium azide can be used.
