Griffonia (Bandeiraea) simplicifolia lectin II GSL II, BSL II is a dimeric glycoprotein composed of two subunits of nearly identical size with each subunit having disulfide-linked chains and a binding site for α- or β-linkedN-acetylglucosamine residues. Unlike other N-acetylglucosamine specific lectins, increasing the number of N-acetylglucosamine residues beyond two does not improve affinity. GSL II has been reported to be unique in its ability to recognize exclusively α- or β-linked N-acetylglucosamine residues on the nonreducing terminal of oligosaccharides.

推荐稀释度:
Reconstitute with 1 ml of purified water.
DO NOT VORTEX.
Although many buffers can be employed for reconstituting and diluting this lectin, 10 mM HEPES buffered saline, pH 8.5, 0.1 mM CaCl2 is recommended.For preserving solutions stored at 4°C, 0.8% sodium azide can be used.
