BMP2-derived peptide (100 µg/well) increases mRNA expression of the gene encoding osteocalcin in C3H/10T1/2 cells. It induces osteoblast-like cell differentiation and ectopic calcification when conjugated to an alginate gel in rats when administered via a submuscular implant.{65424}
